Copy the .env file in the temp or abaqus user home directory. It solved the problem.

Where to find .env file?

It's in the plugin pack given by Simulia. You can find it in the zip. The file is named Abaqus_v6.env

You can simply generate an input file which more or less does the same procedure!

I am also trying to fix the problem of toolpath mesh not connected.

"Error in job Job-1: Toolpath-mesh intersection module: Toolpath-Mesh intersection module is not available."

I am using 2018 version of Abaqus. I tried following steps but doesn't work, please let me know if I am doing something wrong.

1. I saved the abaqus_v6.env file (sent by @roya) to my working directory. I don't know why but this doesn't work.

2. I located my actual environment file from my installation directory and tried indicating the plugin address using "plugin_central_dir" in abaqus_v6.env— this doesn't work either, error remain same.

3. Also tried editing custom_v6.env to indicate the path — doesn't work.

4. Lastly, I tried point 2 & 3 together – I get additional warning message says — duplicate directory.

@Roya any idea why the problem is persisting? Please help me to fix this.
