Hello I'm looking for advice concerning an upcoming experiment pertaining to cell cycle analysis using BrdU. I am not new to flow cytometry but haven't done BrdU assay before. My lab has all the necessary reagents for the analysis with the exception of DNase I. I have read that DNase I is used to expose BrDU-labeled epitopes in cell suspension. I have also read that HCL can be utilized to accomplish this as well. Would it be valid to utilize HCL instead of the DNase as it is unlikely we will be able to order DNase before the experiment.
Thank you
