I am trying out a new type of binding buffer for DNA extraction and the protocol calls for 5 M sodium acetate, but I cannot find anywhere that sells a stock solution that highly concentrated. The standard concentration seems to be 3 M. I'm wondering if perhaps the 5 M concentration listed in the protocol is a typo? The improved binding buffer in question is from Allentoft et al. 2015, in the supplementary materials.
You should be able to dissolve sodium acetate at 5 M in water. That is 410 g of anhydrous sodium sulfate dissolved in water and brought to 1 liter. Or 680 g of the trihydrate.

Dissolve 410 gram of anhydrous sodium acetate in 1 litre of water so that you can achieve 5M sodium acetate solution.
Krishna Reddy , I must correct you. The sodium acetate takes up a substantial volume when dissolved, so water should be added to a final volume of 1 liter. Adding 1 liter of water would result in a solution volume greater than 1 liter with a concentration lower than 5 M.
