I'm looking for genes related to antifungal activity in my bacterial genomes. So I'd like to do a specific search for these genes and avoid double efforts instead of annotated all the genes with an unspecific database.
I think you are looking for genes involved in secondary metabolism. antiSmatch may do the job. It allows the rapid genome-wide identification, annotation and analysis of secondary metabolite biosynthesis gene clusters in bacterial and fungal genomes.
Thank you for your help Loubna Youssar! I actually found some tools for mining secondary metabolites as you said, here: https://www.secondarymetabolites.org/mining/ including antiSmatch.
