I am running an assay requiring the enzyme 5a-reductase, which I will be using PC-3 cells has its source and hopefully after some protein/enzyme purification, I might be able to obtain some enzymes for research use.
Perhaps you can use this website (proteomicsdb.org), which is a database that lists which proteins have been found in which tissues and cell lines, and with which normalized expression level. Your enzyme ( 3-oxo-5-alpha-steroid 4-dehydrogenase) can be found here: https://www.proteomicsdb.org/proteomicsdb/#human/search/query?protein_name=P18405
click + surf to the "expression" tab and check the "cell line" box. As far as this database goes, the enzyme has not been identified in PC-3
