Dear all, i have recently discovered that one of my test compounds is able to promote intercellular aggregation (i.e. the cells are aggregating when treated with the compound). However, i can only determine this through visual observation using a light microscope. What are some of the experimental assays i can use to show that the cells are aggregating - through quantitative means? Also, do you suppose that measuring the levels of beta-catenin in the cell should tell me something about the possibility of increase cadherin activity and thus, should let me know if the cadherins of these cells are actively binding and hence implying an increase in cell aggregation behaviours?
