Dear all, recently i found some strange and uncanny sights in the wells of cells treated with my compound of interest. Apparently when i checked the water solubility of the compound of interest, it was supposed to be soluble in the concentration which i have treated the cells in. Hence, i have gotten some opinions from my firends, some said it was cell death while others mentioned it was drug precipitation. I am slightly convinced it may be cell death, but it looks rather different from how conventional cell death should look like - i.e. where cells should start to shrink and become more rounded, which is not the case here. What do you suggest this is (as in the attached image)?

Probably the optimized drug concentration quite low.
As i found some cells get shrink (some irregular oval shapes are there) this is due to the drug action.
It might not the drug precipitation, as you mentioned your drug soluble in the concentration which you had treated for the cells .

Yep, you may go higher concentration of your drug and check it weather more shrinkage of cells are there?
Also check conflency and rate of development of your cell line.
