In our laboratory, we're trying to propagate cancer stem cell from MCF-7 human breast cancer cell line. Although we are getting good mammospheres, with time (like a month), we see contamination, generally gr (+) bacteria.
It happened a lot, not just ones or twice. So Idon't think it is because of my discipline. So, can anyone suggest or advice something about this situation?

well... I have no answer for you but a question... are you using matrigel?? I will start a project and am not familiar with cancer cells.. could you share your MCF-7 mammosphere experience with me please?
