Does anyone have experience of clonogenic assays on dissociated primary tumour cells. Any thoughts or experiences gratefully received?

I have been running clonogenic assays on Head and Neck Cancer cell lines following both Chemo and Radiotherapy treatments for several months now.

Our research group also obtains resection surgery samples (no previous treatments) and we are looking into the feasibility of a clonogenic assay on the dissociated cells from these samples.

I am currently searching the literature for experiences of others and any protocols.

All suggestions welcome!
