I am looking for the methods to measure proinflammatory cytokines in my research project and have just found that there has been a technique called multiplex ELISA. This is not a bead technique like Luminexs. The idea looks nice but I am not sure about its reliability and acceptability.
Unfortunatly also for Qplex you need a special plate reader, so if you do not have a qPlex reader I think there is no advantage to Lumiex, MSD plates, FACS based multiplex.
Sure. Look up Luminex Technology. very powerful and very cheap (for the amount of data you get.)
But I heard that it is possible to use gel doc imaging devices coupled with the software from Q plex. And the company claimed that this method is more reliable and cheaper than others.

If you have a cytometry, consider using multiplex cytokine kits from various vendors. Once you have a good validation it works well.
