I am confused, are you talking about transfection or transduction. The first is generally considered non-viral and the second is using a virus.
So if the issue is to transduce your cells with a retrovirus, I can recommend two options for enhancing the infectivity
- one is to use a a chemical method similar to polybrene without the toxicity and drawbacks issues. The reagent is called Lentiblast, its patent-protected chemical composition allows simultaneously neutralizing electrostatic repulsion between membrane and viral particles and enhancing viral fusion with cell membrane.
