Limiting motion through training, reducing the impact of motion on fMRI signal or identifying and removing motion artifact seem to be valuable methods for avoiding biases due to verbal responses in neuroimaging studies. I would need at least one reference that would review the advantages and limitations of these methods.
A reference that would, on the contrary, mention that avoiding verbal responses in the scanner is also very welcome.

Below is one of the better papers comparing covert and overt naming in the scanner. Relatively artifact free fMRI data can be obtained with overt naming especially when using an event-related design:
