I believe the uses of science are morally ambivalent. Clearly science is being used to help humanity in the field of medicine. But it is being used to hurt humanity in the field of weapons development and the production of technology that speeds global climate change.
Humans have the option to use the results of scientific endeavour (medicine, pharmacy, electricity generation, etc) or dispute and ignore them (some people like Trump on climate change).
Scientists have to be brave and publicize their findings hoping that society could use them for their benefit. Those scientists that produce weapons for killing civilians, etc as Dr. Mutasem pointed out above, ought to be punished.
Science and what comes with it have the potential to be used and misused. In view of the complex nature of human behavior, it doesn't appear surprising to see science used to either one or both of these ends.
