B16-F10, also referred to as AC-370 cell line, is a murine melanoma cell line. This is established from a B16 melanoma tumor grown in syngeneic C57BL/6 mice.
In addition, doxorubicin-resistant line of B16 melanoma (B16VDXR) was obtained in vitro by continuous exposure to increasing concentrations of doxorubicin of an in vitro line (B16V) derived from the in vivo transplanted B16 melanoma.
Thank you both for these presisions. Would there be in your view any reason to choose B16V over B16-F10 cells to generate a cancer model via subcutenous injection?
