I'm going to start soon with a cancer model in mice, using subcutaneous injection of PancO2, LLC, B16-F10 and 4T1 cells. I'm trying to get the maximum information out of each experiment by measuring/weighing tumors, assess the level of angiogenesis (collect blood from tumor? histological staining), check for metastasis dissemination, and measure DDimers in the blood stream.
But I have yet to find a paper that has a detailed material and method for these analyses. Maybe somebody from the field can recommend one, what's the most complete paper you've came across?

thanks! There is indeed a ton of literature available on the subject, and I can always find a part of what I need here and there. My question was basically, what is the most complete analysis you have ever come across on a mice cancer model.

In fact, these are the 2 best suggestions for an initial "sweep" in the search for the most suitable model for your question. In this sense, it seems that you will need to have access to tumor mass, both the site of inoculation, and the points of metastasis. Thus, I suggest the model with cells LLC, already well characterized in the literature. See for exemple,http://journals.plos.org/plosone/article?id=10.1371/journal.pone.0093283
