It seems by now, standing November 2020, the COVID-19 virus is less fatal. The coming months will show the real outcomes regarding mortality but, the scenario is most likely better than March 2020.
We can see increasing number of cases again towards the colder winter months. Does that mean, the mortality rates will increase again ?

If these predictions are going to be real, it means it is extremely scary and serious. With no vaccination in sight maybe until summer, what will be the best ways to protect vulnerable groups ?

Me, I was not knowing, that it is really so dangerous now. I felt, it is going to be OK. And I guess, that most of the people think like me, especially after hearing that a vaccine is already coming from BioNTech/Pfizer. Maybe, exactly this feeling will lead to catastrophe.
This means lockdown in the worst case scenario.
Especially for vulnerable groups.
I hope, there is sufficient supply for properly working N95 masks !
In any way, caution is BETTER than chaos and danger.
How can we dissiminate this point of view together with the information you give in a maximum way ?

No it has not at all. In India we are witnessing the third wave of infection in the national capital.

Strangely, this time, the media coverage is not like, when the pandemic started. I mean we do not see anything scary.
Or is it, that we got used to it and neglect the information presented on the media. If it is ignorance, we are preparing for the worst to happen.
I have friends and collaborators in India and they suffer from the part lockdowns until now. They cannot proceed with their research activities like before.

Covid-19 has not come to an end rather people are abandoning the stuffs of covid-19, now people are use to the situation of the pandemic and lockdown, this makes no scary point to the people which get them much focused in taking the measures of Prevention, if the this covid-19 is being ignored there is every tendency and chances thesituation can be worse than before this is because the people’s behaviour change may be difficult to be practice as it was practiced before and this make it feel like less important to maintain as people are becoming lazy day by day., there should be much more awareness to the people regarding the risks that may happe
lockdown and curfews are restriction to movement thus restriction to transmission of COVID 19 among population health, thus misinterpreted as reduction in transmission, reduction can only achieved for COVID 19 if we crrrectily identify COVID high risk cohort and thier red zones and use N95 Masks,the rest of population to only wear whwn visting the red zones, those recovered to stop waearing masks , since they may inhale COVID antibodties to those to be /infected with corona to neutralize antigens and influence herd/community immunity which could be ideal measure for covid 19 reduction, which vary from African and asians contents with low virulence , compare the rest of the world whose virulence in fatal due to may be temperatures and humidities and races factors.

Thank you for the great question.
It was in the beginning of October, 2020 that I observed the lowering of the numbers in my country, India. Then I started a discussion in RG about whether the declining phase started or not. My misunderstanding was cleared by many scientists and researchers. They showed the data and then as the numbers started increasing in my country, the whole picture was clear to me. I came to know about many European countries who had to reintroduce lock down to check the numbers. In India, the months of October and November are usually the festive months. This time, in my city, Kolkata, the High Court applied ban in get-together publicly during these months. Day before yesterday, we had Diwali which is a very important Indian festival. For thousands of years, Indians have been burning fireworks and crackers during Diwali. This year we were prohibited from doing so. It was thought that it would ensure too much of mixing and mingling.
If I have to answer your question directly, I would prefer to say that no, the pandemic has not come to an end. I must also mention here, that if numbers prove me wrong, I will be the happiest person on earth. I wish instant death to all the virus who caused this pandemic.

In Italy, the current situation will last at least until February: it has already been decided by the government.
Dear colleagues, with your replies, we see, that the situation in your countires and seems all over the world is towards increase of cases and fatalities. The situation seems to going to escalate, if the general population is not aware of these developments and ignore all needed measurements to stop COVID-19.
Please tell me, that I was wrong hopefully later, but, it seems we are going towards COVID-20, another pandemic.

Not all but many researchers and expert anticipate the second phase of the pandemic.
No, due to inadequate corperation from the public, to adhere with the rules and regulations on how to limit and trucate the pandemic entirely.

I have not written about complete lockdown.
I wrote that the current situation will not change until at least February, as the government has already decided to maintain at least the current measures for almost the entire duration of next winter.
