I'm designing a user study on robot-human communication and I want to design the robot speech according to human feelings.
I did a research to understand how human feels from speech, and I want to generate robot speech suitable for those emotions.
Since, it needs to be human-like, people who are not in robotics field might also help me.
I need some academic articles on how to talk to people if you know how they are feeling.
You may consider Audio Visual expression for this purpose. To recognize an emotion of human it is quite difficult to base on one. If you focus on both then it will give optimistic result. Try to develop a multimodal approach then solve the issue. Zehra Nur Olgun

Highest level of system:
-psychology of people
1) their response to speech tones
(friendly, imperative, insulting, etc)
2) how to trigger an emotional state in someone
Speech level:
-text and tone speech synthesis (emotions shaped)
-speech recognition
(meaning, feelings)
Communication engine:
-consistant sentences
-conversational engine
These would be building blocks.
