I need detect total tau protein (the 6 isoforms and its native and phosphorylated forms) in mouse protein samples. Could anyone suggest a antibody for western blot analysis to total tau protein?
I am interested in the antibody Anti-Tau Mouse mAb (TAU-5) (Merck Millipore), but it only marks 45-68 kDa protein (i. e. not entire tau protein). Does anyone have any experience with this antibody?

Tau-5 is good, the DAKO tau antibody is also excellent, we use it at 1:2,000 and could use it at a much lower concentration, probably. Both Tau-5 and DAKO are clean in Tau KO by WB.
