What alternative kits can used for miRNA --> cDNA synthesis?
SYBR Green and TaqMan™ are two different chemistries which work on different principle, so you have to chose the method which you want to do for miRNA profiling. miRNA isolation procedure will be same for both but cDNA synthesis protocol will be different for SYBR Green and TaqMan. If you want to go with SYBR green than poly A tailing and Stem loop method etc. will be used during cDNA synthesis and if you are using TaqMan than probe and primers will be used. So there are many miRNA and cDNA specific kits available from different company. I will suggest Qaigen is best.
