Hey there,
our electrolyde solution in the pH-electrode is low (its a double junction electrode). We looked up the price for new solutions and the commercial ones are not super cheap and in the description it says it's a 3.5 M KCl-electrolyte solution. Can we just do a 3.5 M KCl-solution on our own and use it or would you recommend buying the one from the manufacturer? Does anyone has experience with that?

If you prepare it using reagent grade KCl in DI water, I would say just go ahead and use it. If the concentration is the same, I don't believe there are some issues.
FYI, I am making my own solution always which is the most reliable solution.

I never have seen a double junction pH sensor (although it is possible to build a double junction for REF).
I suppose you have in fact a combined sensor (pH electrode + REF electrode). You have access only to the internal solution of REF electrode.
A commercial 3.5 M KCl for the REF electrode is also saturated with Ag+ (by introducing a small quantity of AgCl pp in the bottle). This precaution avoids the dissolution of AgCl from the Ag wire you may see in the REF electrode.
In practice you may add a simply 3.5 M KCl (but don't do this every month, you will destroy REF). If REF contains a saturated solution (KCl or Hg2Cl2) add only water.
