I have tried to saturate ferritic steel with hydrogen using the electrolytic method and H2SO4. However, the effect was very poor even after 3 days of "saturation". Can anybody help in choosing a suitable electrolyte? Or, maybe the saturation method is not correct. What is the best way to saturate steel with hydrogen?

Hydrogenation of austenitic stainless steel 01X17N13M3 was carried out using a 1N solution of sulfuric acid (H2SO4) with the addition of thiourea (CH4N2S) at a current density of j = 200 mA/cm2.
