I am working with the transformed bovine lymphocytes. These cells are in the suspension and I am planning to transfect these cells with the gene of my interest. Cell in suspension is often hard to transfect. Once I tried to transfect them with the reagent (Lipofectamin LTX and plus) which I had used for Vero 2-2 cells (adherent cells). But that didn't work. So, I was wondering if someone has tried to do anything like this. If yes, then can you write me an answer down below?
Most commercial transfection agents are useless for suspension cells. However, PEI based transfecting agents are working to some extent (IsiFect from Hiss GmbH). Few of my colleagues said K2 (from Biontex GmbH) works well. However, I recommend only Neon Electroporation.
