Hi Nirmal.  Well, it is fortunate you stored them in -80.  I would be very surprised if you were not able to isolate a reasonable amount of gDNA from them, of good enough quality for genotyping. However, because it sounds like it was homogenized in the absence of a protein denaturing reagents, the DNA is likely to be sheared.  Just make sure you get a protein denaturing/inactivating reagent onto them at the time of thawing, so the DNAses don't have any chance of working.

Yes I expect you could, though it will be loaded with a lot more protein and fat, which can make for troublesome extraction.
