I have brain homogenates (supernatant after centrifugation) stored in -80 long ago. I need to do genotyping in those samples but i do not have blood of those samples. What i have is homogenates prepared for western blotting and pellets remaining after taking supernatants. I am just curious to know if i can use homogenates to isolate genomic DNA and do genotyping.
