I would try the University of Cape Town Digital Library Services, either directly http://www.lib.uct.ac.za/lib/services/digitalservices or through your own library and inter-library loan services - they can obtain a scan of articles that exist only as hard-bound volumes at remote libraries.

Glad I could help - since the journal was based in Cape Town, I googled for a Cape Town based medical school and looked for its library, arguing that they are the most likely ones to hold these old volumes in their stacks.
