When I do microglia culture, astrocytes always create a problem, because astrocyte proliferate much faster than microglia, they overgrow in my cultures. Do anyone have solution for this problem.

I have also been working with the 'mild trypsination' method to obatin primary culture, so far it works well. Maybe we can have further discussion about it. Because in my experience, when I planted the mixed glial cells onto 24-well plates, then the yield is low. What's more, If I planted mixed cells on 60mm dishes, after trypsination and reseeding,these cells respond differently to the cells without further trypsination. So I think after further trypsination,they may not be the 'resting' cells...Anyway,something must have changed...
