Does anybody have experience with storing mouse tissues (any really - kidney, heart, spleen, etc. etc.) over night and processing them the next day for immune cell isolation?

I have kept isolated splenocytes in the fridge over night, but only ever used them for setting controls in flow cytometry. I have also worked with blood that had to be sent to us and was therefore at least 24h old when we isolated the cells. That was not a problem at all.

I wonder how keeping whole organs would affect viability of resident immune cells when isolated the next day. Might it be possible to still culture them? What storage conditions (buffers, etc.) would be best?
