Hi! Millipore water should be sufficiently clean for your approach, but if you have access to MilliQ, I would prefer it. Also, I would still filter sterilize the solution before using them on cells (just to be safe).
In addition, most cells recover very well by thawing directly in their own medium. Have you considered this?
Hi Helder! Thanks a lot for the answer! We used culture medium to thaw the cells previously, but now these cells are being used in clinical trials, so we use the same protocol as the clinical use.
If these cells are destined for in vivo human use, the saline must have an auditable trail of composition and sterility testing. Why don't you go the hospital and get Normal saline used for I.V. fluid balance in humans (e.g. Baxter or something that has USP imprimatur). In Europe, I think this Ph. Eur, in Japan its (JP) , the Japanese Pharmacopoeia (JP) and in is U.S.P( the United States Pharmacopoeia)
