I wanted to do experiments on miRNA and its regulatory effects on target oncogene.
miRNA Let7 family (7b in particular) has a negative regulatory effect on the KRAS gene. I want to prove this premise by transfection. Would it be efficient to use MCF-7 cells or MB 231? These are the cells lines we have readily available and I wanted some inputs from those who have had experience with these lines and the KRAS gene.

I dont have much experiences with these cell lines but you can find more information in cell line project of cosmic databases. For example you can search for the verified mutations in your cell lines.
