I am trying to isolate some BAC DNA using Qiagen large construct kit. However I have issues with suitable vessel sizes /rotors for our centrifuge. If I were to use the enthanol instead of isopropanol during the precipitation stages I would have enough liquid to do this procedure in our large bottles. Is it ok to replace the isopropanol steps with ethanol?

Due to its less stability in isopropanol, DNA will fall out of solution easily at lower concentration also. But with ethanol, the DNA needs to be at high concentration for it to precipitate.
You can use ethanol in place of isopropanol, but the amount of ethanol added should be 2-2.5 volumes of sample
