In my experience with DNA and RNA, I gonna tell you the next. Although the cell are deads you can extract Genomic DNA I don't see problem, but in RNA extraction I don't know, depend on the cell that protected this RNA, but you can try, I work with bacteria RNA and is not so sensible. Some years ago I usually froze cell cultures after washing plates with PBS to further extract protein for western-blot and it worked. Regarding RNA I would try it, since degradation starts as soon as soon as you thaw your samples. It's true that some targets are more susceptible to degradation during storage of RNA at -80, but I understand that your cells are into N2 liquid.... good luck!
