I need to use a TRAP staining kit from Cosmo Bio Co., Ltd. It contains Tartrate-containing buffer and Chromogenic substrate. To prepare the kit, I need to dissolve 1 vial of chromogenic substrate (manufacturer doesn't mention the amount in each vial) and 5ml of Tartrate-containing buffer. There's enough substrates to do the dissolving and staining 10 times, but I don't use the whole amount during each staining. Has anyone used it before and kept the unused substrates for later use? Will it be working fine even after mixing them together? If so, how long can I keep it in the fridge? The manufacturer doesn't mention anything about it and I can't find any information regarding this anywhere.

Question: How long can the chromogenic substrate solution be kept at 4C once dissolved?
Answer: Unfortuantely, Chromogenic substrate can't be stored after dissolution. Because it should be prepared prior to carrying out the experiment, chromogenic substrate is supplied at small units of 3mg in 10 vials.
