I am working on a school project, we are doing detection of Bacillus cereus ATCC 11778 using LAMP. However I am unable to find the number of base pairs on GenBank. The paper that we are following is using another strain of Bacillus cereus with the sensitivity of between 10^1 to 10^8 copies of DNA. Is there any other way to find out the number of copies of DNA?

Humans have about 330 copies of their gDNA per nanogram, and that comes from how big our genome is. That is a required number for the calculation. You can estimate and get close, however.

It can be determined using absolute quantification in qRT-PCR. Genbank wont tell you the number of copies. It might just give you the sequence of whole gDNA but no info about gDNA copies will be available. If you need help feel free to ping.

You need to calculate the DNA concentration using the nanodrop. In the last serial dilution a bacterium in which the LAMP technique is positive, the amount of DNA is calculated based on the size of the bacterial genome using the link with: https://cels.uri.edu/gsc/cndna.html.
