Hi,
I reached to the point I had spare cell-cultures, so I kept some of the cell plates in -80°C (no medium of-course, after cold PBS washing - I removed PBS to be left only with cells). Now I wonder if I can use those cells for western blotting, and if so - if there a limitation for their time spent in -80°C?
Does anybody know?

Sure, you may give a try to perform a Western blot using ultrafrozen cell.

The storage at -80°C wont interfere in any way with western blotting. Simply thaw the cells and proceed as usual. You may have issues knowing the amount loaded if you didn't record the cell density / number. I assume the cells weren't stored for years and the cell plates aren't full of ice.
