Hi, I am doing in gel (SDS-AGE) detection of FITC labelled proteins and need a standard that would be visible in the same channel. Sigma used to sell one (F3526), but it has been discontinued. Does anyone know/use a similar product, that is a protein ladder with fluorophore with excitation and emission spectra compatible with FITC?

It only goes to 155 kDa though, so I wonder if anyone has any alternative solutions?
The same company also sells a high-molecular weight range protein ladder that goes up to 460 kDa.

It is not a fluorescently labeled ladder, but in my experience some of the colored dyes used to pre-stain protein ladders are fluorescent. Moreover, the non-fluorescent ones can show up in a fluorescent image as dark bands against the background and can therefore still be used. Finally, if you have a red or near-IR fluorscence capability on your gel imager, the dyes may fluoresce nicely in that region of the spectrum.
If your protein has Trp (at least one) you could use BioRad Stainfree gels and any un-labeled protein MW markers as long as your imager is compatible.
