Hello everyone,
I would like to detect human mitochondrial DNA in a xenograft model by fluorescence staining. Can anyone recommend a commercial kit, please? Thanks in advance :-)
Hi,
You can use anti-DNA antibodies, like in this publication:
Organization and dynamics of human mitochondrial DNA
Frédéric Legroset al., Journal of Cell Science 2004 117: 2653-2662; doi: 10.1242/jcs.01134
Or for live cells, use PicoGreen:
Detection of mitochondrial DNA depletion in living human cells using PicoGreen staining.
Ashley N et al., Exp Cell Res. 2005 Feb 15;303(2):432-46. Epub 2004 Nov 13.
All the best,
Olivier
