I want to use agarose as a matrix for this assay on behalf of collagen or fibrin. Is it possible?
If I use agarose as a matrix does that mean I can add any specific growth factor?
Why agarose and not matrigel (basement membrane rich matrix) for example? I did a lot of them in matrigel... it is pretty easy!
In case you can also use some of the gels of BD (look at Hydrogel for ex) (http://www.bdbiosciences.com/cellculture/ecm/ecmtypes/other.jsp)

Dr Giorgio Seano thank you very much for your suggestion and guidelines.
I forgot... maybe you can find the information you want in this method article!
they do that in agarose... I have never tried!
