Thank you dear, I have this article, but i need information about fertilization capacity of seaweeds as fertilizer source, i.e seaweed as a substitution for fertilizers.
Any recent research works on rice crop, seaweed sap as spray, root dip or nursery application like.. that.........
this research carried out in Brazil seems similiar to what you describe.... http://www.jpdp-online.com/Effects-of-sulfated-polysaccharide-and-alcoholic-extracts-from-green-seaweed-iUlva-fasciatai-on-anthracnose-severity-and-growth-of-common-bean-iPhaseolus-vulgarisi-L-,QUlEPTEyMjA0NzcmTUlEPTUxNzk4.html
Some amount of work has been done by Junagadh Agricultural University @ Port Okha center.Sea weed liquid fertilizer was prepared using cast away brown weeds, especially sargassum sps. They have to be rinsed in fresh water to remove any salt, before they are physically mascerated in a wet grinder, using minimal of fresh water.it is then decanted. One Kg.of fresh sargassum yields 1 liter of sea weed liquid fertilizer & this was diluted with 99 litres of field water before foliar spray was applied to crops like: Wheat, ground nut, saplings of avenue trees, vegetables. The beast results were got from wheat,& vegetables. as the extract contains enzymes, microminerals, its utility is varied. For e.g.green lime dipped in the extract & then kept open takes longer time for it to get ripen.
The extract can be preserved in 3% formalin, after filtering it.
Even dried algae can be used for the purpose, which is immersed in freshwater overnight, & then used for extraction the next day.No chemicals are to be added for extraction.
The residue also is a potential source of manure & improves soil fertility.
The above product is already a commercial product in India.
Considerable amount of work has done on this topic. We are also working on these aspects. Appliction of seaweed liquid fertilizer on crop plants for enrichment growth and productivity. please go through the attached paper for information. Thank youl.
