I undergo differentiation of stem cells into neural cells in 6 well plate and i want to do cresyl violet acetate staining for those cultured cells as a step to confirm differentation.

Both stainings are the same. Acetate is attached to the dye just for better solubility.
No. You are right about the ions, but additionally Crystal violet is used for gram staining, cresyl is used for Nissl.
