We are perfoming ubiqitination assays to demonstrate p53 deubiquitination underlying p53 activation, but we found an increase of p53 ubiquitination. Is there any molecular mechanism explaining this phenomenon?
Human 20S Proteasome Inhibition? If chymotrypsin-like proteasome activity is inhibited, there should be an abundance of p53, also in its ubiquinated form. The two are commonly linked in cancer therapeutic studies.
