If a student from Biotechnology undergraduate field want to pursue his masters and/or PHD in medicine, is he eligible ? If yes, will he be able to cope up with the curriculum or syllabus (MBBS students are taught basics of medicine and surgery but biotechnologist have a little or no knowledge of this field but they are aware of few related topics like biochemistry, protein engineering, cancer biology and cell lines) ?
Please, also recommend some good universities (or medical schools) accepting non- MBBS student for their masters or PHD courses ?
I see no reason why not. But, I do not understand what do you mean by PhD in medicine? Do you mean a medical doctor degree? There is not too much difference between PhD in medical college and PhD in biology since they all use the same research tools. In USA you need to have a decent GRE score to get in PhD program. Do not forget PhD program in Europe and Japan are also very compatitive and worth your consideration.
since in India They are looking the unwanted things in bioscope, his question is relevant. in india i think they look at the specialization rather than the research, that's mean his question. i did not understand one thing that why the people are distinguishing the Ph.D in Science, Ph.D in medicine or Ph.D in Technology etc. it should change.
