yes! a paper I used to develop my own assay was originally used for quantifying siRNA cleavage.

the molecular beacons are extremely sensitive so they are worth the extra cost. I did attempt to do a dulplex reaction with them but I never got it to optimize properly so I would suggest just doing singleplex reactions for everything and save the time of trying to optimize.
