I reconstituted the lyophilized rh IL-4 and GM-CSF (ImmouoTools ) with 1% BSA in sterile water (Data sheet recommend 0.1% BSA in sterile water) for long term storage and kept at -18 C degree.
I did wrong for diluting the solution and I found that my cytokines in 1%BSA did not freeze but I tested 0.1% BSA in sterile water and it shown that it can freeze.
My question is whether my cytokines in 1%BSA sterile water at -18 C degree is o.k. or how I fix this problem.

I've used various cytokines for over 20 years. I've always used 0.1% BSA with whatever diluent the supplier recommends. Some have been stored at -20 C for up to 2 years and they retain activity.
You can dissolve your solution in Complete medium RPMI 1640, and it will dissolve very well.

I agree with David fast. If you want the cytokines to last longer, use 0.1-0.2% BSA
