I do not know that Camellia sinensis (green tea) can cure the prostate cancer at all.
Only edible Japanese brown algae Nemacystis decipiens (Silky-Mozuku and/or edible Fucoidan; sulphated poly-L-fucose), Sphaerotrichia divaricata (Stony-Mozuku), Undaria pinnatifida (edible Mekabu; sporophylls of Wakame), and Laminaria japonica (edible Kombu; sea tangle or sea kelp) can cure the cancer (please see files; Rat DEN Np-Fuco, Anticancer Res, and HepG2 fucoidan). However, newer living things of plants grown on the land than the algae (grown in the sea) can not cure the cancer, which is caused by invaded virus, at all.
Fucoidan (Fucoidin; Inedible brown alga) has firstly been purified from the Ireland's brown alga Fucus vesiculosus by the famous Swedish Biochemist Dr. Johann Harald Kylin (Uppsala University, Uppsala, Sweden).
Kylin, H. (1913). Zur Biochemie der Meeresalgen. Hoppe-Seyler's Zeitschrift für physiologische Chemie, 81, 171-197 (in German).
Kylin, H. (1915). Untersuchungen über die Biochemie der Meeresalgen. Hoppe-Seyler's Zeitschrift für physiologische Chemie, 94, 337-425 (in German).
By the way, I think that the edible Cochayuyo (a foodstuff bull kelp of southern New Zealand and Chile; a brown alga of Durvillaea antarctica) is also very effective to the cancer, due to contain edible Fucoidan).
HPLC-MS is not the quantitative method at all (personal communication from a kind engineer from Shimadzu Co., Kyoto, Japan via the telephone, when I have worked at The University of Tokyo, Yayoi-cho, Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo, Japan).
Direct-utilization of photometer without purification is not quantitative at all for enzyme (such as GSH) assay; i.e., only HPLC-photometry can give the true result (please see file; J Chrom B Rat BIN LIP Km).
Non-parametric Statistics (such as Mann-Whitney's U test) should be used instead of parametric Student’s 𝑡 test (please see file; Dr. Terentyeva Urine BIN).
Therefore, the paper from the Hindawi Publishing Corporation "Evidence-Based Complementary and Alternative Medicine" is not reliable at all. I have never published my research papers from the Hindawi Publishing Corporation at all.
Kou Hayakawa ,thank you for the enthusiastic response, but please we would love to add the brown algae to test its efficacy along side the green tea, only if you would oblige us on how to get the algae. That is the Silky -mozuku or stony mozuku. E-mail([email protected]). Please contact me. thank you
