Hi there,

Recently I've been encountering a problem with frozen/fixed-frozen brain blocks embedded in OCT and sectioned with a cryostat. While the sections look fine after mounting them onto Plus slides (directly, in the cryostat, by very light pressing), after blocking them in H2O2, tiny air bubbles form between the section and the slide. The bubbles remain between the section and the slide throughout the rest of the procedure. Does anyone have an idea about what the cause of these bubbles might be/how to prevent it during sectioning or staining?

Thanks so much in advance, I appreciate it!
