Colleagues: has anyone ever had problems transporting leaves, seeds or soil while flying within continental US (from state to state, never leaving the country)? What about shipping USPS?  I'm planning to ship leaves (and ideally soil and acorns) from Texas to Illinois later this month.  I don't know if its better to carry on the plane with me (though its a lot of material- would be checked luggage) or to send via the mail.  If you've ever had samples held up or denied by either method, please let me know!
