I have yeast cell lysate transformed with a virus.
I want to analyse the viral proteins by using the BCA assay.
How would I do that? (Lysing the yeast cells would release the yeast proteins also in the lysate which will interfere with the testing of viral proteins.)
Is there any way to isoalte the viral proteins from the yeast cell lysate to carry out BCA analysis?
If you want to use BCA for the viral protein expressed from yeast, you would need to isolate the viral protein, is there any tag (his, GST) on it?
Otherwise, I think the ELISA will be the way.

I would first do an SDS PAGE or western blot analysis to see if the protein of interest was actually produced by the yeast (comparing a transformed yeast to an untransformed yeast).
With yeast cells lysed, any method of protein dosing will be interfered with yeast proteins. If the goal is to dose only the viral protein, proceed to a purification and dose the amount of proteins throughout the process.
