I have found small auto fluorescent bodies, 0.1um-2um in diameter, within many of my HUVEC cell lines (~60-70% of the culture). They seem to be brightest in Green/orange. The cells have been fixed in 1%formaldehyde and mounted with Fluoromount-DAPI. I am imaging with a fluorescent microscope. I have been working with a variety of cell lines for may years including carcinomas, lymphomas and fibroblasts and I have never seen this before. Does anyone have any ideas what they could be?
