I am trying to use Lipofectamine 2000 to transfect miRNA inhibitor (antagomir) in TK6 cell line hence I would like to know if there is anyone who has successfully transfected TK6 cells with this transfection reagent considering that the reagent is used for easy-to-transfect adherent and suspension cells? Every suggestion is appreciated.
Hello, based on my 5-year experience as tech support for the Viromer transfection reagents, I have never heard about this cell line, then they are probably hard to transfect. And Lipofectamine 2K not the best choice because, as you mention, it's a reagent for easy cells. L3K would be probably better.
With our Viromer BLUE and Viromer GREEN (different chemistry than Lipofectamines, it's polymer-based reagents), we get several good feedbacks for si/miRNA in other lymphoblasts... would be great to give a try, and then to learn from you. If you are motivated, just ask Cambridge Biosciences, it's our distributor in UK, they will provide with test samples for free. Say that's on my behalf. And I am here if you have technical questions.
