I got this fungi while I was trying to isolate Pyricularia. It produce orange color colony on PDA, Fast growing fungi, septate hypahe, spores are single celled.

Go through the Book "An Introduction to Mycology" by Alexopolus and Mims.
1st look at the chapters (classification) based on mycelial characters.
Say Septate, this means the probablity of being members of ascomycetes is high. If septa is having any characteristics look for it. if so it may be a members of basidiomycetes.
Then further structures like the pattern of Asexual spore formation. picture shows some Arthrospore aslo. Sexual str if any (you wont see it culture plate)
Take the help of book , see the characters and identify.

The bright color of the culture and the catenulate spores resemble a Monilia sp. like Neurospora. However, I assume you are attempting to isolate Pyricularia from a grass and thus, bright orange-yellow-red pigment can be deposited by the common epiphyte Epicoccum, which has very different globose, phaeodictyospores. In which case it would be a mixed culture.
