Regarding the analysis of the compounds (iridoid glycosides) by GCMS or HPLC and selecting the reference compound. What is the criteria for the selection of the particular compound for the analysis? is it random? If it is to quantify the total and individual compounds then does it mean that the standard individual compounds like for swerchirin, amaroswerin need to be present during the analysis?
